Megan Lincoln
Howdy, ya'll!
My name is Megan Lincoln, and I am a senior this year at good ol' Dobyns-Bennett! I am the Editor-in-Chief of the Arrowhead E-edition, and I'm super excited about that! Reading and writing are two of my passions. I want to become a high school English teacher to pass that passion on to other high school kids. Hanging out with friends is one of my hobbies and American Sign Language is, too! I love me some Jesus and Higher Ground Baptist Church. I am involved with the youth group, drama team, and choir there. Wednesday night Bible study is what gets me through my week, and my youth group is my family. (:
If you have any questions, suggestions, or opinions for or about the Arrowhead, please feel free to write a Letter to the Editor and submit it online! I look forward to hearing feedback from you!

Meredith Aulds
Sum Meredith! I am the opinions editor for this school year. Aside from being crazy political and a band nerd, I love to read and write; mostly during class when I'm supposed to be conjugating Latin verbs. I love my dog, who is a great inspiration, and country music (especially Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn). Outside of school and band, I spend most of my free time at my Pentecostle church. I'm really looking forward to this school year. God bless!
Ellysse Clark
Hello my name is Ellysse Clark, and I am finally a senior here at DB! I am the news/student life editor of the Arrowhead, and I am so excited to be a part of the school news
paper. Originally I'm from Knoxville, TN, but I've been in Kingpsort for about four years now.
I love singing and playing the guitar. Music and writing are
outlets that I use to really express myself. Animals are another passion of mine, and recently my family adopted a new puppy named Bud. After graduating I plan to go to college for business or veterinary science. Well that's about it, anything else just ask..bye! (:
Rachel Shope
Hello world; I'm Rachel! I'm a senior here at Dobyns Bennett and also the layout editor here at the Dobyns Bennett
Arrowhead. Since I've grown up in Kingsport, I've learned to make my own fun so you'll usually find me trying to entertain myself or others. I love being able to make people laugh and always try to make someone's day a little better. I'm really friendly and have a passion for people, so I value good friends and always try to be the best friend I can be. When I'm not goofing off or messing with people, my two main hobbies, I'm reading or watching movies in bed with my cat. I've loved reading since I was little and while I may have less time for it now that I'm older, I'll never stop. Now you should stop reading about me and start reading more of the
Arrowhead!
David Martinez
Hey!! My name is David Martinez. My favorite subject is math. I like to play soccer, tennis, and definitely ping pong, but my biggest passion lies in music. I absolutely love playing instruments such as the guitar, the piano, the drums, and the bass. I taught myself how to play, but it wasn’t hard after the first instrument. It became like speaking fluent Spanish, which is another one of the things I do best. My hobby that I usually do after school is teach. I teach Spanish, and I teach music. I want to go to University of Tennessee after high school and major in architecture, but I also wanted to take the opportunity to experience the environment of journalism. I hope you guys will like all the articles, because I will give it my best!
Josh Kuykendall
Hey, I'm Josh Kuykendall. I'm seventeen and a senior here at D-B! I'm the Sports Editor, Marketing Director, and might as well be the Editor in Cheif of the E-edition of the Arrowhead. I'm also in the DECA, FBLA, and Radio clubs here at D-B. This is actually my first year in journalism class. I thought joining the school paper sounded like fun and a good way to learn more about the media world. So to let you know a bit more about myself, some of my hobbies include playing and watching baseball, hanging out with friends, listening to music, running, sleeping, and eating. The Atlanta Braves are my favorite baseball team and a big part of my life. I currently work for the Kingsport Mets. I plan on going to ETSU for my first four years of college and then transfering to the University of South Carolina for my master degree. I'm going to major in sports marketing and managment. My dream is to work in the front office of a Major League Baseball team, preferably the Braves! I'm a very social person, and I love to talk to and meet new people. So feel free to ask me anything!
Matt Blevins
Hey! I’m Matt Blevins. I’m seventeen and a senior here at D-B! I’m the photography director of the Arrowhead, and I love my job. This is actually my first year in journalism class; I love writing in general, which is why I joined the school paper. So you probably want to know things like my favorite hobbies and what not. Well I love hanging out with my friends, going to movies, and drumming. I’d rather go into detail and tell you my favorite color, food, and stuff like that but I won’t do that to you. I’m also in band (drumline) here at D-B. I’m really outgoing, I like to talk a lot, and I love to meet new people. Well that’s pretty much it for now! If you do want to know more about me all you’ve got to do is ask.
Chris Foehringer
Howdy! My name is Chris Foehringer, but Fourfinger for short. I am a sophomore this year. Also, I am the Entertainment Editor in the school News paper. My two sports are cross country and Track. Dale Earnhardt is my idol!! When I’m not running or trying to sell ads for the news paper, I’m playing the Alto Sax in the band. In 8thgrade I was the Imperial Commander of the 2nd Star Destroyer in the movie Star Wars. Finally, I could live off of Swedish Fish, chocolate milk, and Brown sugar cinnamon Pop tarts. Hope you guys enjoy my articles.
Darren Davis
Hiya! I’m Darren Davis. I’m fourteen and a freshman here at good old D-B! This is actually my first year in journalism; I like writing in general. Also, I love Ms. Haren! She’s
thebomb.com. So you probably want to know things like my favorite hobbies and what not. I am the Vice-President of the 4-H Honor Club. I like to make people laugh. I’m sometimes really shy, and I love to swim and go tubing on the lake. There isn’t a lot I can explain about myself. I’m a great writer, and computers are pretty much my life. I am a huge Lady Gaga fan. I also like to crack jokes and mess around with my sister. Well, that’s my Bio. CYA!
Jordan Kuykendall
I am Jordan Kuykendall. I’m a 14 year old freshman and a member of DB’s newspaper class. I play guitar, love baseball, and my ipod is my best friend. I have an older brother named Josh Kuykendall who is also in the newspaper class. He’s awesome and I wish I was more like him. I’ve also recently discovered that my fellow Newspaper staff member, Chris Foehringer, thinks he was in Star wars, which obviously isn’t true. Also, I am the assistant entertainment editor, so it would be great if you would act entertained. I don’t really feel comfortable telling you anything else. You might start to love me too much so... yeahh.
Jasmine Toschlog
Hey there! I'm Jasmine (DUH). I'm fifteen and a sophomore here at dear old Dobyns-Bennett. There is honestly way too much about me to fit into a small box, but here's a few things I thought you should know... I like making new friends and being weird. Normal is just so boring! I talk way too much, and sometimes not enough. I'm a self-acclaimed nerd, and I'm slowly learning to just be happy with what life is and who I am. I am fascinated by music, people, and nature. I guess you could call me a band nerd. I play trumpet, guitar, and am an aspiring pianist. Oh, yeah! I write, too! I love making people smile, and I never want to lost he ability to be happy! God is my rock, Jesus is my savior, and love is my purpose. Well, that's me in a box!
Elizabeth (Liz) Kemble
Well here goes! My name is Elizabeth Kemble. I’m originally from Queens, New York, but I ask that you don’t call me a yankee because it is a little rude. I moved to Tennessee a year ago for some odd reason. I can’t say water right, but I don’t care. I have a New York accent, and I’m proud of it. Writing is something I enjoy, but overall fashion is something I honestly love. I will always try my best to be in style with the latest trends, so shopping is a main hobby in my life. Now I am a freshman in Dobyns-Bennett and a reporter for the Arrowhead. It has always been my dream to be a journalist. So far, I have been working towards that goal. That’s all I can really think to write for my bio. One thing is: remember to never say never. I take that saying straight to my heart.
