7 Cute Winter Hair Styles

Written by Molly Smith, Reporter

1.  Fancy Side Ponytail – Curl small sections at a time, lift pieces at the top of the head and tease them, spray the pieces with hairspray so they will hold. Smooth back into a low ponytail on the side of your head.

2.   Twisted Bun – Part hair to the side; apply a squirt of texture spray. Then roll the hair away from part, twist tightly and put in elastic. Put the rest of your hair into a low pony tail then secure the end of the ponytail. Separate ponytail into two sections and twist. Wrap the two sections around ponytail making a bun. Pin the ends to the back of the head. Next, twirl the rest of the hair into a bun and secure with elastic. Smooth any flyaway hair with gel.

3. Clear Headband – After blow-drying your hair and straightening the hair so it is smooth, comb back covering the part. Slip the headband back, to where it is an inch past the hairline. Tease the top of hair (use a comb on the underside of your roots in a downward motion) to give lift and volume to your hair!

4. Fun Pins to Add Sparkly to Your Hair – Straighten your hair, making it sleek and smooth. Part hair over to one side. Place pins on the opposite side, and spray with hairspray to hold.

5. Rolled Up-Do – Part your hair to the center, then roll front sections of one       side into a twist, pinning it to your hair and adding more hair as you go. Do the same thing on the opposite side. When complete, cross the ends over each other and tuck them in and tying with an elastic. Use hairspray to prevent flyaways.

6.  Bed Hair Turned Pretty – Don’t wash your hair, to keep natural oils in which will give your hair pretty separation and movement. Use a comb to comb softly so hair won’t break at the ends. Use spray wax to give curl and hold.

7.  Braids – A simple hairstyle that takes 2 minutes. Part your hair to the side, and then get a piece of hair around 2 inches long. Start at the top of your hair, and part the piece into two sections. Take the middle section and pull it over and attach a lose piece from hair underneath. Do the same thing with the other piece. Keep doing that tell your braid is long enough. You can keep it down, pull it back into a pony-tail, or put into a slouchy bun
